Keep your data up-to-date
Vehicle data changes all the time, so it is important to keep the data you hold up-to-date. Whether you’re a dealership, integrating into a dealer management company or run a manufacturer website, Experian’s vehicle data service can be integrated into any in-house system, making it easier for you to access the correct data.
What vehicle data is available?
At Experian, we work together with multiple automotive agencies, like the Driving and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) and Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), to gather vehicle data from a wide range of sources so we can give you a complete view of the vehicle data available. You can choose whether to use a Vehicle Registration Mark (VRM) or Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to return:
- An extensive vehicle description on the vehicle from both the DVLA & SMMT
- Vehicle history information
- Vehicle mileage data
- Engine and technical data
- Performance and consumption data
- Thatcham Vehicle Index (TVI) and Richard Bosch (RB) codes
- Finance and condition data
- TecDoc (Kcode)
- Tyre data
- Weight and dimensions data
- Extended Model variant data
- Valuation data
- Engine code
- ABI Code
Data Integration
Experian’s vehicle data can be integrated into any client system including online retail, insurance underwriting and parts ordering systems. This enables you to link the vehicle information directly into your own products and services. It’s not only vehicle data that can be integrated into your systems – our vehicle history checking product, AutoCheck, can also do the same. This allows you to give an immediate and complete picture of any vehicle.
