Experian’s National Business Database provides access to over 2 million UK businesses. The data available includes:

Business lists can be selected using variables such as geography and then refined using selections such as company size, business activity and number of employees.

From where is the business information collected?
Experian mainly collect data from Companies House (Ltd Company information) and Thomson Directories. This data is matched every month to produce a database of many millions of business location records. Of these, around 2.7 million are made available in B2B Prospector for safe marketing purposes.
This site has been optimised for use with Firefox 3.x, Internet Explorer 7 & Internet Explorer 8. Please be aware that using other browsers may result in reduced performance and/or functionality.
When you register onto B2B Prospector your details will be logged. Your e-mail address will be used to send you confirmation information about registration and to confirm orders. Registration will also enable you to view and/or suppress any orders that you place in future. The rest of the information will be used to keep you updated on the new developments to the site, particularly those that are relevant to your business sector.
The information that you provide will not be passed onto any third parties. Your details may be used by Experian to update you on developments that may be of use to you. These could be on new developments to B2B Prospector and also other products in the Experian range. You may choose to Opt Out of future mailings during registration.
There are 2 ways to pay:
Credit Card: You can choose to pay for your order by credit card. You will be prompted to choose a payment method towards the end of the order process. When you choose to pay by credit card you will be asked to enter your card details including the last 3 digits (CVS number) on the reverse of the card. You may opt to store your card details to use on future orders to make the whole process easier. The system is secure. Once you have entered your credit card details the system will check the validity of your card and advise you of clearance. Once validated, you will be able to download your order directly to your desktop.
Credit Account: You can choose to set up a Credit Account system and pay for your data monthly in arrears. To do this you should ring the Product Support Centre on: 0870 012 1111. The Product Support Centre will ask you to fax over a copy of your company letter headed paper and will run a credit check to ascertain an agreed credit limit. Once you have cleared credit checking you will be able to order data and pay by credit account.
You can limit the number of prospects to suit your campaign and budget. B2B Prospector will re-calculate the costs for you during the selection process so the volume and cost is clearly displayed to you.
You will be able to download the file securely directly to your desktop once you have paid. The file can be saved to any location on your local PC. The file name will have a .csv extension which means you can open the file in Microsoft Excel or Open Office Spreadsheet applications.
The data in Experian’s National Business Database is updated monthly.
The data has been checked against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) at the time of purchase. To help keep you up to date with the relevant regulations B2B Prospector offers a monitoring service whereby you are notified if a telephone number you have purchased subsequently registers with TPS or CTPS.
B2B Prospector allows users to suppress against previous orders and saved searches. This allows the user to see the effect of suppression against the total count prior to ordering.
